Pope High School is located right in the heart of East Cobb, close to Johnson Ferry and Shallowford Rd.
Pope’s student body is just over 1,800 and has a 9.4% enrolled in the NSLP (National School Lunch Program), and high level of academic achievements. According to www.niche.com, Pope was ranked the #17 best High School for STEM in Georgia. Pope has an 88% graduation rate and a multitude of Advanced Placement courses. Pope also has a great athletic department as well and art and music programs. Plus Hightower is the main middle school and it also has top-notch rankings and a great reputation. A lot of East Cobber’s prefer Pope over Walton because of the smaller size, and it’s known for having less pressure of it’s student body, without losing any of it’s academic prestige or great athletic programs.
